A clumping, herbaceous perennial. Long, slender, lax stems to 1m, are clothed in linear, dark green leaves which are covered in fine silvery hairs. A small, dense, evergreen shrubby Salvia, bearing for most of the year, small, broadly lipped, hooded, tubular flowers, the colour of crushed blueberries, on slender stems. Small, mid green, softly textured, broadly lance shaped to almost triangular leaves, with bluntly serrated margins, clothe the wirey, semi-erect branches.

A low growing, stiffly branched, suckering, evergreen shrub from sandy soil in eastern South Africa. The grey-red stems are clothed in pairs of small, undulating, elleptical, grey green leaves. Deep sky blue, hooded, tubular flowers, each with a prominent, white splashed lip, emerge from pairs of redish bracts along slender, sparsely leaved stems.
Trim lightly when the accumalation of spent flower stems becomes to great to bear.

An outstanding new introduction, proving to be very hardy to heat and exposure.
